Our Mission
The Matt Feriozzi Memorial Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the legacy of Matt Feriozzi. Matt was unapologetically queer and a fierce advocate for living authentically. Behind his vibrant spirit, he faced deep struggles with mental health and addiction. Although we lost Matt in 2016, his presence continues to be deeply felt throughout the community.
Our mission is to reduce barriers to life-saving care within the LGBTQIA+ community by expanding access to critical mental health services. Funds raised directly support therapy stipends, community-based resources, and educational programming aimed at increasing access, awareness, and long-term support.

Supporting LGBTQIA+ Mental Health & Community Services

Why is this important?
LGBTQIA+ individuals experience significantly higher rates of mental health challenges.
Studies show that queer & trans people are more than twice as likely as their heterosexual peers to experience depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders due to stigma, discrimination, minority stress, and limited access to affirming care.
Affirming mental health support can be life-changing.
